Our Team

skruti_ is an orphan who lost his parents at a very young age. He can’t speak, his mouth is sewn shut due to loneliness. The team behind him is as talkative and animated as skruti_ is one who treads silently and carefully in life. The four members of our team all play a vital part in bringing skruti_ to you, in helping him to console and comfort us all.

Johan Hellberg

Writer

Johan always loved being read to as a child. He was surrounded by books, stories, songs and a sense of marvel. He tried for a while to express himself in arts and crafts but the pencil, pen or brush didn’t move, dance or swivel the way he would have liked it to. The picture in his head never made it to the paper. It was sabotaged by his lack of drawing skills. He channelled his energy into sports, singing, playing an instrument and writing poems and stories instead.

Rami Eronen

Illustrator

Rami mostly prefers traditional things, like tea and honey, paper and water colors instead of digital tools. His drawings and paintings tend to have a cartoonist touch and his pictures usually tell a multi-layered, longer story than what you see at first glance. He loves nature in its every season. Each season is a separate, bountiful source of inspiration. As many of us, Rami is balancing daily duties and responsibilities with finding the spark of inspiration. Once found, his pencil and brush move passionately and his instinctively multi-faceted illustration comes alive.

Sanna-Leena Vakkala

Animator

Sanna is an adventurous nerd with a passion for cartoons, games and being creative in general. As a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she’s enjoyed teaching comic art courses and making wall murals but she also dabbles in a whole bunch of other things - animation for instance! If you ask her, she finds animation the most tedious yet rewarding art form out there, and it’s worth every frame.
